Can CiviCRM accept any kinds of date format in date field? For example, in one date field, can I input year only, or month and year, or day and month and year?

If not, can I customize to make CiviCRM accept more flexible date format input?

To be clear, in custom field of date, you can only choose one predefined date format. I want, for example, in one birthday field, can accept three date format: year only (when you only know the year of birthday), or month and year (when you know only month and year of birthday, but don't know the day), or day and month and year (28/08/1971). You can make three fields with three different date formats for birthday, but you can not do this for just one field of birthday.
