I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this (bug reports and support requests didn't seem appropriate), but I'm curious if anyone has any knowledge about the difference(s) between, say NGP and Civi when it comes to campaign filings, electronic and otherwise.

NGP advertises the ability to "Generate FEC/state reports for electronic filing" - it seems that Civi should be able to do the same without breaking a sweat.

Trying to find this out for a potential client - I would think this information would be useful for others as well.

I realize this is an old topic but I also see there were no replies. I'd like to hear from the community about this. How do others do their FEC reporting?

We don't do it directly from CiviCRM but from our payment processor records. A feature in CiviCRM would be nice.

Thanks for keeping the topic "alive," Ozyank - it seems that Civi already does the heavy lifting here, so it would be nice if it was able to go all the way.

As I gain more insight here, I may be able to provide specific suggestions, and I suppose it wouldn't be a bad idea for you to do so as well.
