Stand alone contribution to membership within Drupal block

Is it possible to have a standalone form in a drupal block that that allows a contribution to membership?

In other words I want the functionality of the CiviCRM profile standalone code, but applied to a contribution.

I think you can create a block with an iframe that will call civicrm url.
