A non-recoverable error has occurred. - Authentication Failed.

Attached is a screenshot of the error I am "randomly" receiving.
This time it occurred via the "Test" screen on step 4 of a New Mailing setup.
I was trying to send a test out before scheduling the actual Mailing.

Currently all test emails succeed but all Mailer Posts return a 100% bounce rate (nothing gets delivered).

All tests pass on https://civismtp.uas.coop/drupal/civismtp/account
I'm able to authenticate via Outbound Mail Settings, /civicrm/admin/setting/smtp&reset=1 and send the test message successfully via SMTP.
Port is set to 20095 and it is open on my server (tested via the Telnet command).

Any help is appreciated. (despite my profile info I am running 3.1.5 on this install).
