civicrm front end module, component... whatever...

Hello community... its my first post here...

I want to use a web crm. Long time now i use Joomla for web sites. I am a web designer.

I searched and found CiviCrm which is for free.

I have one problem though... As i see @ civicrm official site, the demo is in Drupal installation.. so i see a demo in drupal... anyway.. i have installed civicrm in joomla.. but what i see at the front end its not the same as its in drupal.. i mean in drupal you can see the whole component in front end, as a joomla user can see it in back end.. and i need to watch the component in front end in joomla..

how can i do that in Joomla??? ;)

there is a joomla demo here:
http://joomla.demo.civicrm.org/administrator/
demo // demo

Drupal and Joomla work differently. Drupal doesn't have a strict definition of frontend/backend, whereas Joomla does. consequently, Joomla more carefully defines what is available as a frontend tool vs. the full set of management tools in the backend.

So to answer the question directly -- no, you can't expose the entire set of management tools to the Joomla frontend. they are backend only.

Is there a list that would tell me what functions I am able to perform from the front end?

Pete

not sure there's a single list, as it's more organized by component. but check out:
