Author Topic: Mismatched Contact ID Message During Import of ID's Exported Out (Read 1313 times)

I exported contacts with the internal contact id along with three other fields that needed to be either made null or populated and then brought back into civicrm.

I set contact matching to internal contact id and imported. What I tried to import was exactly what I exported, contact id wise, but I got a message, “450 rows skipped” “Mismatched contact ids” .

What is this all about? What could be mismatched out of 3 fields? One of them containing the same contact id I started with?

I’d really appreciate some help.

Douglas - Can you try and replicate this with a small set of data on our demo site? Ideally, use the same 3 fields that you are trying to update on your site.

This was my mistake, totally. I found out I was using a wrong field of data as the Internal contact ID for civicrm. Process works fine, long as you use the right civicrm id!
