subdomain email address

I have CiviCRM running at crm.mydomain.com (hosted at RimuHosting vps) and email going out from info@mydomain.com. The MX records are set to one server for mydomain.com, and to the CiviCRM server for crm.mydomain.com. CiviMail is sending fine via SMTP. I'm now attempting to get VERP working. I see in an outbound queue that there are delivery problems (as expected) for addresses like b.166.45891.fb6adf84c248a5f7@mydomain.com. I bet that this address should have crm.mydomain.com rather than mydomain.com if the VERP processing is to work. Where should I change a setting to correct this?

try fixing the domain here:

http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/admin/mailSettings?action=update&id=1&reset=1

we are rearranging the screens in 3.2 to make them a lot more consistent
