Server professionals to help configure the server?
July 21, 2010, 10:39:23 am
Are there any server professionals out there who could help one of our non-profit partners configure optimal PHP/MySQL settings for a Drupal/CiviCRM site on a dedicated server, or give us advice on it based on server specs?

  • CiviCRM version: Always the latest!
  • CMS version: Drupal 6 mostly, still evaluating 7.
  • MySQL version: Mix of 5.0 / 5.1 / 5.5
  • PHP version: 5.3, usually on Windows

When you say "optimal" do you mean that the problem is that it's slow? I doubt fine-tuning the php/mysql settings on a server that's already a dedicated server will give you much performance improvement unless something has been set to a really strange value.

First thing to always check is memory_limit in php.ini.

If that's not it we can offer this kind of service. http://www.clarkebrown.com/cbahomepage.nsf/contact!openform
