Drupal synch failing

Maybe something weird with our set up since this is happening on sites with 3.1.5 and 3.1.6 yet Kurund says it is working in 3.1.6 but anyhows i am testing on 3.2 as well and this isn't working for us

steps to replicate

No Profiles are set to be used for "Drupal User Registration"

create contact in civicrm: First = unique1, Last = unique1, email= unique1@xxx.com

create Drupal user with email unique1@xxx.com

Outcome - a second record is created with the same email

I had profile used for "Drupal User Registration".

Thanks - I think one need for testing with no profile set is that that is what happens when we use User Import to create bulk Drupal Accounts from existing CiviCRM records.

Were you able to replicate this on 3.1.6 ? It seems to be working fine.

Yes same problem on 3.1.5, 3.1.6 and 3.2 - are we doing something crazy?

okay - more testing - seems i was wrong about 3.2 (which has me smiling for all our sakes)

but can confirm problem on 3.1.6

again - no profile set for drupal user regn

ie create civi record for uniquez@blah.com

create user with email uniquez@blah.com

Result - two records - see attached

but - i can confirm that Synchronize Users to Contacts is working fine "Checked 12 user records. Found 12 matching contact records. Created 0 new contact records."

So can't use that to confirm it is working or not.

Happy to screenshare or provide login if that will help.

would be great if u can get eileen or xur1z to debug and track this problem down. The relevant code is at:

CRM/Core/BAO/UFMatch.php, function synchronizeUFMatch

near the dedupe params stuff
