Custom Field Display - IE vs Firefox
October 30, 2007, 06:57:43 pm
Hi!  I'm kind of new at CiviCRM and was wondering if there's a way to change how custom fields are displayed in IE and Firefox, in particular how they are being displayed in IE.  It seems that the field label and the data corresponding to the field aren't lining up correctly in IE but they do in Firefox.  I've had this issue with Firefox and IE in the past, but now I'm stuck since I'm not sure how I can change the template being used to display the data.  Any help would be much appreciated.

If you implement a custom version that results in better display for both FireFox and IE 7 - please post a patch with the changes you've made to our Issue Tracker. (http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM?report=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.project:roadmap-panel)

thx!

I was able to figure out the tpl that was creating the item I was looking to align.  I basically added a table around the fields and also tweaked the css file to create a custom container.  I went to the Road Map page, if this is a good 'fix' to my issue I'll put it up if you wish.  I am more than happy to help out as my knowledge of CiviCRM grows.

Thanks everyone for the help, it was much appreciated  :D

You are very welcome. Please do post your fix here or to the wiki. Others will find it and be appreciative!
