Drupal error: "Confirm e-mail address field is required."
July 22, 2010, 12:35:50 pm
Just upgraded to 3.1.6 and I'm running some CiviContribute/CiviMember tests. I've got a contribution form set up to accept membership payments and create a fresh Drupal site account at the same time. However, I'm getting this error at the end of the process:

Code: [Select]
Confirm e-mail address field is required.
On my first run-through I was also getting a "Captcha required." error. Some research on the forum revealed this is caused by Mollom protecting the "create an account" form on Drupal. So I disabled that for user accounts and that error went away. This leads me to believe CiviCRM (maybe Contribute? maybe Member?) is failing to "fill in" the "confirm your email" field on the "create an account" form, much like it was failing to fill out the Captcha form that Mollom presents on that same form.

Does anyone have a solution? Or is this just a straight-up bug?

can you reproduce this issue on the demo server

i suspect this might have something to do with your drupal user registration settings. might want to check the documentation carefully on what we expect them to be set as

Ahhh...found the issue. The module "Logintoboggan" was requiring two email fields -- a confirmation field -- be filled out, and obviously CiviCRM wasn't able to comply.

We just bumped into this sharp spot as well, with Drupal + Civi + LoginToboggan.

We were able to have LoginToboggan NOT require the double-entry email addy, but we would much appreciate some sort of Civi accommodation at this combination of modules and leaving the double entry requirement for email addy.

Is there a Civi RFE tracker some place? If so, please point me to it and we shall "+1" this topic. Thanks!

Out of curiosity, why are you requesting two emails ?

For what I remember reading, it doesn't improve the accuracy a lot, and mostly annoy the user of having to do a copy/paste.

Not sure if the issue exists or not

The application people seem to desire the extra verification that the person really means what they type in.

For me, I copy/paste at such sites, and FF knows all of my regular email addys, so I pick from the known list in the first email blank. ;)
