Cannot modify header information - headers already sent (warning message)

Hey Guys,

My site-visitors are reporting the following error message:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/content/s/i/s/sisteradmin/html/snsha/plugins/system/iewarning.php:60) in /home/content/s/i/s/sisteradmin/html/snsha/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/CRM/Utils/System.php on line 324

What corrective measures do I take?

Looks like this is caused by some other plugin you have running in your Joomla site. Is this is a new problem? Have you recently installed some additional plugins ?

Dave,

I just double checked, I don't think I have recently installed any new plugins. 

Is there a log file or a trace file that I can view that might tell me where the plugin is that's causing this issue?

Might want to check the code in iewarning.php - that's not a CiviCRM file. Your webserver log might also have some clues.

Sorry, been busy working on other issues -- anyway - this Error message "Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/content/s/i/s/sisteradmin/html/snsha/plugins/system/iewarning.php:60) in /home/content/s/i/s/sisteradmin/html/snsha/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/CRM/Utils/System.php on line 324" is due to incompatibility of IE 6.0 with CiviCRM. 

I reproduce the error message by downgrading to IE 6.0.   

It would be nice to have an error message that tells the end-user to upgrade to IE 8.0

For now, if anyone comes across this error, have your users do the free MS upgrade to IE 8.0.
