Hi,

I'm wondering how could I manage to turn off/on the links in profile for custom data since it goes nowhere useful (why clicking on custom data grad go to activity ?)

I recreated this issue in the demo site here :

There was a bug in the code.

So if you click on the link (i.e.)
http://demo.civicrm.org/drupal/civicrm/profile?reset=1&force=1&gid=7&custom_10=should+display+as+a+link

its take you to profile search mode..

Also if you want to disable link you can make profile field visibility : "Public User Pages"
