I would like to set up a site for an organization like a chamber of commerce.  There are multiple organizations that pay a fee to join based on their number of members.  I need to manage the organizations and promote them on the front end of the site.  I need to be able to manage events and invite each member of each organization and managing and displaying RSVP's like evite does.  I need to send out stylized newsletters like constant contact. 

Ideally each organization would be able to edit their own presence on the site.  Can civicrm do all this?  THANKS!!

Firstly you need to add organizations who signup to a group.

You can use profile listing feature ( limit it for a group) and expose the list on the front end.

Nope this is not possible like Evite.

You can use CiviMail component for sending emails blast.

Thank you so much for the help Kurund.  How far will the event functionality take me?  Can an event be emailed out?  Can a member view the participants?
