Email confirmation to adminsitrators after donation?

I'm a new user to CiviContribute.  I've got payment (PayPal) working with my Drupal+CiviCRM+CiviContribute site.
What I'm not getting are any notification emails after a donation is made.
Drupal sends notification emails about other tasks no problem, so I know the server is working.
Paypal sends receipt emails no problem, so I know the email addresses in question work.
It has to be something to do with CiviCRM/CiviContribute setup.

Can anyone walk me through how to troubleshoot this?

can u do a "Send Email to Contact" (from a view contact screen) and see if that works. That will confirm if civicrm can send email and your email settings are right for civicrm

I successfully sent contact mail the way you described (View Contact -> Send Mail).
Still no confirmations from CiviCRM when that contact donates.

1. does the donor get the receipt email?

2. can you check your mail log after a transaction and see if an attempt was made to send a mail

3. i assume you have entered a valid address in the cc and gcc fields of the contribution page

Don't I feel stupid.  ::)

The messages were getting flagged as spam by google (the destination) before they were forwarded to my real mailbox.
DUH.

problem solved.
