We have a Profile that users can use to subscribe to various groups.  I read that if you use a certain URL you can allow un-authenticated users to edit fields on a specified Profile for 7 days, if you include it in a mailing.  I've got that working just fine and I'm able to view the Profile without issue.  However if a user changes the groups that they are subscribed to the changes aren't reflected correctly on that user's CiviCRM record. 

What is the expected behavior and process that should take place for a user to modify the groups they are a part of?

(Note: I was unable to test or replicate this on the Demo site as the mailing function is disabled.)
