Let users update their information
August 03, 2010, 02:04:34 am
I read somewhere that it's not possible to let a user update his profile in Joomla!

Is there any way to do that anyway or in some other way. It is vital for me that the users can do that one way or another.

Yes, but how?

I can see that I can design a new profile for showing users information but how do I make it possible to let users update their info?

Is there any paper I can read or????

Hey, what a great advice  ;D

But I have done that already or at least some of it. And there I found this (see attached file).

Is'nt that what I was asking about?

I want my users to have the abillity to edit their own data. In Joomla!

Am I missing something?

A logged in user can edit their own information in profiles via the profile edit link

try:

http://joomla.demo.civicrm.org/index.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/profile/edit&gid=1

you can expose this link to the user via the joomla frontend
