Can Joomla - CivicRM be set up so that users can log in and edit their membership information?

Yes, CiviCRM integrates with the Joomla User system by connecting them to Contact records in CiviCRM.  This connection allows members to log into your Joomla site, access a CiviCRM profile page, and update their information.

Memberships, which are associated with Contact records, can be renewed after a User logs in as well to pre-fill the form with data currently on hand, allow for update, and accept renewal payment.
