Profile error
May 05, 2007, 03:22:25 pm
I'm getting the following error on a profile I have setup. I'm running Drupal 5.1, CiviCRM 1.7.
I have it setup as a profile without User Registration checked.

Code: [Select]
Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.
This profile is not configured for the requested action. Contact the site administrator if you need assistance.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks...

Need a bit more info to help out here:
  • What is the CiviCRM URL where you get this error?
  • Which "Used for" checkboxes are checked in the Profile Settings?
  • Does the profile include fields for more than one type of contact (e.g. Individual fields AND Organization fields)

Dave,

I get this error too.  IF you go to dev.fpwr.org and click on the LA:Walk event in the "Upcoming Events" block, then select "Register" - it errors out. The profile I am including in online registration is setup to be used by CiviEVENT (the block is checked).

Also of note, if you are logged in as admin, it works no problem.

Jeff

Jeff - Please see if you can recreate this on the demo server: http://demo.civicrm.org/drupal
We're shooting to finalize 1.8 this week - so it would be great if you could flush this out ASAP and file an issue against 1.8 referencing the setup on demo.

thx!

Hmm... can't login to demo with "demo, demo" as UN,PW - and advice?

Headed to Israel this afternoon.  So I will be out of pocket for about 15-16 hours while in transit. I will see if Kari can try to do it tonight ... if possible.

Jeff - Someone reset the demo user password. I just fixed it - so hopefully you can setup a quick test. Have a great trip!

Hmmm.... works in Demo ok

i created a new custom set of data for individuals, then created a profile and added those fields (set to user/admin only).  Then I activated the profile and then attached it to the online registration (event number 16). Worked fine.

When i try to do that on our site, I get a permissions problem.  May try to create a new custom data set and see what happens. I will also try it on another site of ours that is on the same machine but running on a different db.

Right now, we are having server problems, so I can't test. Will do so tonight when I get back to my hotel.
