Can CiviMail Receive Emails?

Hey,

We are working with CiviCRM to send out email blasts. Works great. Sends the mail, and tracks the opens, click-throughs, etc.

We want to use CiviCRM to house our email history, so that when we send someone an email, and they reply, the reply is held in our db.

Googling found this written in 2008:

At present, can CiviCRM read emails? If so, where do I find the functionality? Or is this something that still needs development?

Yes, on 3.2 you have this option on a per mailing basis (2nd screen, check the box civimail handle replies, not sure about the wording right now).

If your bounces are handled properly, should works directly. What it does it to add a reply-to field with a long email that allows to track that user X replied to mailing Y, and add it in the activities.
