Duplicate Listing for Same Record in Search Results

Hello,

I've encountered a new problem with the CiviCRM implementation I did on the ShorelineChamber.com web site: a new member signed up, using the online form (this is the first to do so), and the record logged correctly and all. However, on the Membership Directory, he is listed twice, and I can't figure out why. We ran into a similar problem when we entered new members in the CiviCRM backend, but figured out that removing them from the group that feeds the directory ('Individuals - Active') and then re-adding them to the group corrected the problem. However, this doesn't work for this particular record.

Do a search on 'Abyaz' in the full name field or 'Aurora' in the company/organization field, and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about.

Please help! The people at the Chamber are getting a little cranky with me.  :)

one thing - check if they managed to end up with more than on address/phone/email set as primary - it has caused others problems in past with duplicates in exports etc

Great tip! It took me some digging, because it wasn't exactly the problem, but you put me on the right track. To solve the problem, I changed the Address field in the Profile that feeds that page from 'Primary' to 'Main' and it solved the problem.
