Payment Processor Installed and Enabled but does not appear on Contribution Page

I've created a live contribution page and added a payment process (Paypal Website Standard) to the CiviCRM Global Settings area.  When I go to manage the contribution page, it gives me the option of selecting this payment processor from the drop-down.  Then, I save the page and everything seems to be fine but when I visit the live page, it allows me to register as a new user and never prompts me to make a paypal transaction (or any transaction of any kind). 

I've searched through the forum but I haven't been able to find any issue similar to this (though maybe my search terms aren't pulling the correct results).  Does anyone know how I might actually be able to make the paypal stuff appear on the contribution page and make the transaction possible?

What are your settings for "Execute real-time monetary transactions" , "Contribution Amounts section enabled"   "Fixed Contribution Options" for your contribution page?

All these settings are located on the "Contribution Amounts" configuration page.

Hi SG --

Here are my contribution page settings:

Execute Real-Time Monetary Transactions -- This box is checked on my contribution page

Contribution Amounts Section Enabled -- This box is unchecked on my contribution page, since I am using the page as a membership sign up page and the note next to this section says to "Uncheck this box if you are using this contribution page for membership signup and renewal only - and you do NOT want users to select or enter any additional contribution amounts."

Fixed Contribution Options -- This section is hidden from view, as the Contribution Amounts Section is unchecked.

I really don't understand what step I'm missing.  From what I've read in the CiviCRM wiki, the payment processor should be working, or at least visible on my contribution page.

Can you temporarily turn on "Contribution Amounts Section Enabled" and set up a few suggested contribution amounts, then test drive your page.   Which payment processor are your using?   Test with the "Dummy" processor to rule out any issues with another payment processor.

If you are using the "Dummy" payment processor, you should at least see the form fields asking for credit card number, expiration date, etc. when you test drive your contribution page.
