Setting default address
August 11, 2010, 05:42:40 pm
We have two address types Work and Home.  I would like to set the default address for all individuals to be Home and for all orgnaizations to be Work?  Is that possible.  I only see that I can set one default address?

A related question/potential bug... This doesn't seem like the intended functionality, please verify?

Scenario 1: While updating the address field through the Contact DashBoard, the primary address is updated.  If I have the default address set to Home, but that individuals primary address is set to work, the contact dashboard displays the work address, but updates the home address and sets the primary address to home.

Scenario 2: If I have No default address set, but that individuals primary address is set to work, the contact dashboard displays the work address, but creates a new address without an address lable and sets the no-label address to primary.

(I'm running 3.15 with Drupal, but verifies the same results in the Demo site)

Thanks!

You can potentially do the setting the default address via a customized template and javascript and set the default location type to be work for organizations

both scenarios are bugs. if you can investigate and work on a patch for this it would be great and highly appreciated
