Class Registration
August 12, 2010, 05:19:49 am
I was wondering about event registration in civischool. am thinking mostly about an afterschool program.

say:
class 1 come mon, tue
class 2 come tue, wed, thu
class 3 come mon, tue, wed, thu, fri
all classes are optional and the child pays depending on how many classes they attend.

how would i set this up? any ideas? also, siblings may want to register for classes but they may be in a different one to their brother or sister.

im still trying to get my head around civischool too...

a parent has a login and they have sub-accounts on behalf of their kids. the parent pays for events and membership on behalf of their kids and they can see all of the details for all kids on their dashboard. is this right?

CiviSchool does not deal with events and memberships as yet. There is code that does "afterschool" class registration and does the accounting via a "block" system (i.e. not actual payments)

CiviSchool docs are here:

http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/CiviSchool
http://civicrm.org/CiviSchool

You'll need to be good at php/mysql/drupal to get this working. Its still very developer centric. if you dont have the skills consider hiring WebAccess from http://civicrm.org/professional/ and help improve and extend CiviSchool
