Do you know how to modify the navigation menu as well to add in the admin menu your new form ?

Do you mean Administer >> Customize >> Navigation Menu?

You must have one of those older computers - on mine I just think where I want to go and it reads my mind ... heh

Yes, the navigation menu.

If I recall they aren't any api, but was wondering if you found a hook or trick to update the menu automatically.

Please don't blame my computer being old, that's probably just your mind that has an amazing power to control inanimate objects ;)
