Using SendMail instead of postfix

My host (hostica.com) has the following setup:
MySQL 5.0.77 w/ INNODB enabled
PHP 5.2.12 with SOAP and DOM extensions enabled
Sendmail is installed, rather than Postfix. Perl 5.8.8 is installed.

Will CiviCRM be able to run appropriately with Sendmail instead of Postfix

Yes, CiviCRM supports sendmail.
