Does CiviCRM implement a JS overlay in 3.2.x?
August 20, 2010, 02:17:40 pm
I upgraded a 2.2.9 site last night to 3.2.1 (small DB patch required to remove attempted duplicate index add).

The main pages work fine, but any GET link from a CiviCRM page results in a JS overlay with an odd picture that looks like a camera struck out in a circle and doesn't load the original URL. I need to copy and paste URLs or disable JS to navigate the CiviCRM UI. The overlays don't seem to happen on non-Civi pages.

Does CiviCRM 3.2.1 use a JS overlay (as seen in Drupal 7's admin interface) for some screens?

Is there a switch to disable it (apart from the JS switch in my browser)?

I'm expecting this to be a conflict betw Civi and some other module (don't see Lightbox or similar installed on this site) but hoping to find a quick means to disable the behaviour if one exists. It was 3am so I didn't dig into the JS to see how to disable it in code - I'm sure that's an easy solution too.

Will dig further later and report back on why this might be getting applied to all links on the page (even non-CiviCRM ones).

The overlay looks like this. No explanation text (I'm unsure what the icon is supposed to mean either).

Thanks Kurund, upgrading to lightbox2-6.x-1.x-dev does appear to have fixed the issue.

Much appreciated.
