I am using civiCRM to manage Pledges only (at this point). The forms take Pledges just fine, but the headers in all the response pages refer to "Contributions" is there a way to edit this text to change it to "Pledge"?

Then, down the road if I start taking contributions via civiCRM I would want it to respond as if a "Donation" was made.

I guess my question would be can the script be altered to discern between the two and respond accordingly?

try using the word replacement feature in your current case, in a url similar to:

http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/admin/options/wordreplacements?reset=1

Thanks, that worked perfectly. I had looked at that option, but didn't think anything as simple as that would work! Duh!
