Is there a Civi data dictionary?
August 24, 2010, 09:32:57 am
Is there a list of all the fields in the various Civi tables (particularly the contact table(s)) along with the intended purpose of each field? I understand the basic fields like 'first name' but there are many fields that are less clear in their purpose. It might be possible to avoid custom fields if I knew which fields I could bend to my purposes.

Thanks!

Jim

Currently no, but this would be a great addition to the ERD. Would you be interested in helping lead and build the data dictionary. The comments in the sql are a good starting point, we can help you out with the other fields on IRC

thanx
