Upgrade has no menu
August 25, 2010, 10:57:34 pm
I upgraded from 3.13 to 3.2 and all went well except the black menu bar (and menu items) does not exist and the page looks pretty strange. It reported menus upgraded after the database upgrade script was run....

Any help??

Did you ever find a solution for your CiviCRM disappearing-menus problem?  I'm having the same problem now after upgrading to version 3.4.5.

Just a thought - I thought the same after upgrade from 1.9 to 4.0.5  - however, clicking on the CiviCRM link on the left one or two times seemed to make them appear at the top.   Not having the issue now.

I have the same problem.  I didn't upgrade I just ran update.php.  I was trying to get hooks to work and read that might help.  Well it didn't help and it screwed up the menus.  There is extra space after every line in the drupal menus as well.  Hopefully someone out there has a solution.

In this topic, I was talking about the complete menu and this situation seems to happen occasionally, but one click and it resolves.  However, there is a separate, perhaps related discussion about missing menu choices for individual users where once the user is established, changes to their roles are not reflected in their CiviCRM menu:

In my case the theme got messed up.  If I switch to a different theme it works correctly.  I'm not sure why the theme should get messed up nor how to fix it.  As far as I could tell all the files associated with theme that I was using haven't changed.  Maybe something in the drupal database changed though a quick google search on drupal theme messed up didn't seem to indicate that.
