Searching Profiles
November 09, 2007, 08:47:02 am
I have two profiles Personal ID = 2 and Alumni ID = 3. I have created a search link

http://stanislites.org/civicrm/profile?reset=1&gid=2

Only the Personal profile appears in the search form.

I need both the Personal as well as Alumni profiles to appear in the search form.
gid=2&3 does not work

How can I achieve this

Thanks

This is not possible right now. You'll have to  build a combined profile with fields from both 2 and 3 and use that for search

Thanks,

Profile search works very nicely now.

Another question;

I have Personal, Alumni and Group profiles with settings Used for: User Registration,View/Edit user account, profile and Search.The Group profile has a single field for individuals "group(s)" We used this setup for some time.

Recently, I disable Groups profile and added "groups(s)" field to the Alumni profile, everything else remains the same.

Now when a user tries to register he gets an error message. His account is created  in Drupal but the Drupal process for new users does not get complete ie send out an email to the user, send out an email to admn about new user.

Now, I cannot go back to the original setup as users again are getting errors. Hence I have disabled groups profile in the Registration page as well as the groups field in the Alumni profile.

Any pointers will he highly appreciated.
