membership status problems
August 30, 2010, 08:51:45 am
I've added membership statuses for student, teacher, mentor, etc.  I have put the membership duration for 1 yr for these membership types... how do I renew memberships automatically ~ we have no membership fees, so until someone decides to end their involvement with our association, they membership is current once they have been accepted...  presently, there is an end date of the 1 yr anniversary of the start date and I have overriden the status to current, but I can't remove the end date.  Suggestions are welcome...

Thanks!

I started off using a lifetime membership, but in some instances people leave and their file is closed, if it is a lifetime membership, I was not able to put in an end date... any suggestions?  when the file is closed, then the status changes to closed and an end date should be put in... how do I get around it not allowing an end date if it is a lifetime membership?

Yes I can do the manual override of the status to closed, but it still does not allow me to enter an end date, if it is a lifetime duration period... ???  I appreciate your help... any other suggestions?
