How Do I Apply a Contribution to a Specific Contribute Form Via Admin Side
September 02, 2010, 06:24:55 am
Is there no way to apply a contribution to a specific contribute form via the admin or private side of the site?  You can do this with event registrations so I just assumed you could do this with contributions.  We just launched a fundraising campaign but there seems to be no way to apply the contribution to the specific contribute form we're using for tracking if you're the administrator.

This is the contribute form.  https://handson.org/index.php?q=civicrm/contribute/transact&reset=1&id=6&widgetID=1  And we're using the contribute widget to show how many dollars we've raised so far.  Seems like an oversight unless I'm missing something here.  Is there a workaround until this is resolved, aside from using the public form?

2 options right now:

1. use the buildForm and postProcess hooks to add a form element for contribution pages and then save it

2. Do this in the db manually on a periodic basis

ideally, would be good if a patch is submitted for item 1 that incorporates this as part of the main workflow
