Wrong Sender Address When Registering Participant

I have a customer who is entering a batch of registrations received in the mail. When the confirmation email is sent, the From address is the address of the logged in user. I understand that this is the default, however in the Event Online Registration setup we defined a different address for this purpose because many different people may enter these registrations, but we want all the emails to come from the organizations default address, not any individual address.

Shouldn't we be able to define the From email address when doing manual registrations just like we can for self-registration?
