CiviCRM menu bleeds through Drupal Superfish menu
September 04, 2010, 02:19:39 am
Since upgrading to 3.2 the items on the CiviCRM menu blend with the underlying Drupal Superfish menu, thus making it hard to select the proper choice. Anyone have this problem as well?

I have tried to remove the opacity elements in both CiviCRM and Drupal, but this did not help.

What "Drupal Superfish menu" is this exactly? And what theme are you using?

I am using the Pixture Reloaded theme. This has support for Superfish menus.

Furthermore, I have tried to look what the effect with the Garland theme was. Then, some of the CiviCRM menus are shown 'under' elements in Drupal, e.g. the input area for searching. This is a common problem at least with IE, due to layering (the z-axis is not always taken into account). Chrome (and I think other browsers) do not seem to have this problem. I have attached two examples, one with IE and one with Chrome.

In Chrome it seems to be OK. Are you certain that you targeted the menus correctly to adjust opacity for IE also? I would also examine the z-index for both menus and see if adjusting those could help.

Beyond that, I don't have any other suggestions presently.

This problem occurred with the compatibility view of IE8. When turned off, everything is okay. This solved it for me.
