Events with subevents - ability to export/report by
September 07, 2010, 07:57:55 am
We have many events that have multiple sub events the registrant can register in:

Example:
Gala Days, has member and non member pricing for each subevent.

Open House Dinner (price field)  25.00 member (price option)   35.00 non member (price option)
KeyNote and Learning 55.00 member 75.00 non member

We setup a custom price set field, for each price field there are check boxes for either the member or non member field.

What we are looking for is a method to exact/report on each sub event which will provide

Subevent name (price field) - total registered (by price option)
How would we achieve this?

check:

http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/contact/search/custom/list?reset=1

and use the "Price Set Details for Event Participants" search

note that mariagwyn has said that she could not get this to work for her case. You might need to invest some developer resources to find and track the bug if u encounter it

Thanks for the suggestion, Donald. The Price Set works fine, but some reason, throws an error on two of our events, but works for others.

We get a Non-Recoverable Error: No such field.

It seems to be trying to update one of the temporary tables and faulting there.

"Unknown column 'price_field_464' in 'field list'"

Unsure why this might happen to one event and not all. We were considering that perhaps the price sets were configured incorrectly?

your best bet would be to debug the custom search code and figure out whats happening and why. there is a high likelihood of bugs in that custom search

I created a price set on the demo site and associated it with an event (Rain Forest Soccer Cup) and used the Price Set Details for Event Participants link on this page:
http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/contact/search/custom/list&reset=1

I was able to return results, but then when I tried to export, I got a fatal error:
Fatal error: CRM_Export_BAO_Export::require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/CRM.Contact.Form.Search.Custom.PriceSet/.php' (include_path='.:/var/www/drupal.demo.civicrm.org/public/sites/drupal.demo.civicrm.org/modules/civicrm/:/var/www/drupal.demo.civicrm.org/public/sites/drupal.demo.civicrm.org/modules/civicrm//packages:.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear') in /var/www/drupal.civicrm.org/svn/civicrm33/CRM/Export/BAO/Export.php on line 917
