Discounts for registering for more than one event?
September 07, 2010, 06:53:38 pm
We're running three events next month:
A1 ($10 adults, $6 children)
A2
B ($25, no one under 16 allowed)
(Where A1 and A2 are different dates/times for the same basic event.)

I've got registration running nicely for all of those.

We would like to add an option to register for A1+B (C1), or A2+B (C2), along with a $5 discount for purchasing both tickets together. Is there a way to do this that I'm not seeing?

I know I can accomplish this by simply adding "events" that are effectively these things (C1 and C2, with a cost of $30), but that will screw up the system counting participants correctly (which is important, because A1, at least, will sell out a week before the event, and I won't have the time to babysit it to cut off registrations when it is full). Depending on how long it takes for A1 to sell out, A2 might sell out as well. We've never done B, so I have no guesses on whether those tickets will sell out.

currently no.

you can probably implement the buildForm and validate hook for the C1 and C2 events and do some db queries to make sure that there are still some spaces left  before displaying those registration pages
