I am working on customizing one of the built in forms by adding a select list to the form and using $form->setDefaults to set the default value. I can see that the correct value is set to selected in the html, but the default first value is is still displaying.

I tested the same form in Chrome and it works fine.

Is there anything happening in the background in CiviCRM that could effect the way the form is rendered that may only be affecting Firefox? A javascript issue?
