Reverting to old setup
November 13, 2007, 07:24:23 pm
Hi,

I have Personal, Alumni and Group profiles with settings Used for: User Registration,View/Edit user account, profile and Search. The Group profile has a single "group(s)" field for individuals  We used this setup for some time.

Recently, I disable Groups profile and added "groups(s)" field to the Alumni profile, everything else remains the same.

Now when a user tries to register he gets an error message. His account is created  in Drupal but the Drupal process for new users does not get complete ie. new user does not get welcome email and admin does not get notified about the new user. Drupal logs do not show any activity about new user registration.

Now, I cannot go back to the original setup as users again are getting same errors as above.

I have disabled groups profile in the Registration page as well as the groups field in the Alumni profile and the registration process works fine.

How can I revert either to the original setup but preferably to the new.

Thanks,
Gerry

Gerry:

u'll have to reproduce this on our demo server (when it comes back online). Kinda hard to know what the potential problem is based on the description
