[Joomla] How to link to a contribution page

I have a new civi/joomla install. I just created the bare minimum so I could create a contribution page...
member type
organization etc

I have successfully created the contribution page and it says enabled, however when I go to the menu manager create new menu item, choose
CiviCRM
    *
      CiviCRM Contribution Pages
          o
            Contributions

page type. There is no item available in the drop down menu for Basic Parameter.


Lost and confused :/

Sounds like an install / config issue. If you're actually on 3.2 beta as noted in your profile you should definitely upgrade to latest (3.2.3) and see if that helps. You should see a dropdown with the titles of any contribution pages you've configured (screenshot attached).
