Smalles CiviCRM ever: Rodgauer Workshop
September 16, 2010, 07:39:28 am
Hi!

I have long hesitated do post this here, because, we are a extrem small use case for CiviCRM. But I want to say: CiviCRM is the right tool even for small organisations!

I'm using CiviCRM for the organisation of one kite building workshop per year. We have only 85 contacts in civicrm! And our workshop is only up to 16 participants! No need for an CRM? Noooo! We did the workhop before in Excel, and it was hard, error rich and in no way comfortable! Since we use CiviCRM it is just fun to handle registrations, mailings and communication! We only use CiviEvent and CiviMail beside the core functionality!

Because I don't like Drupal or Joomla for the website, I'm using Contao (previous know as TYPOlight) for the website. I have wrote to small extensions for Contao, that handle member registrations and newsletter subscriptions (and unsubscriptions) and syncs them to CiviCRM.

We are running CiviCRM on a very cheap shared hosting without any problems! :-)

I can only recommend using CiviCRM even for very small projects, it just makes your live easier!

Thanks all the folks who made CiviCRM!

Bye

Hi,

Thank you for sharing, I found your use case very interesting. I'm going to skip the comment about size matters, and skip directly to the question:

have you published your code of integration somewhere ? Others using Contao might find it useful.

Yes! I have published it in the german Contao Forum!

But it's only a very simple one way synchronisation of only few fields - only what I really need!
