"Continue >>" button in event registration. What creates it, How do you modify?
September 16, 2010, 08:02:42 am

The "Continue >>" button on my event registration page is not visible for Internet Explorer users.  The "Continue >>" text is actually on the page as a text link - no graphical button, but the color is white on white, and therefore invisible.  I have read about this problem on this form and am under the impression there is no fix.

If I were to try to modify the text color for the "Continue >>" link - does anyone know where this can be done?

What controls the construction of this button... css file? tpl?  Which one, where?

Any help appreciated.

Civicrm 3.2.1
Joomla 1.5.15

Check this post for one solution:
http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,15471.0.html

The input button "style" is controlled by civicrm.css lines 2196 - 2241. If you wide up needing to make modifications to this file, best practice is to copy it, modify the copy and put it in a location accessible to your webserver. Then "point to it" by setting the URL under Administer >> Global Settings >> Resource URLs - Custom CSS URL.

Thank you for this.  I had seen that link during my search but was not sure where to place the code, even after reading the post a few times.

Can you advise which page to put the code and where exactly for a joomla installation?  Even some possible suggestions that could be tried?

I've been a hobbyist coder for a while, but this is something that calls for some expert advice.

Much appreciated

You could try adding it to the main template that CiviCRM calls for all Joomla+Civi pages ...

administrator/componnents/com_civicrm/civicrm/templates/CRM/common/joomla.tpl - probably fine to put it at the top.

You should definitely have that directory and file (joomla.tpl). Make sure you're looking under administrator/components/com_civicrm in your installation.
