CiviMakeitHappen & blog

Arrgh - I've discovered that the widgets don't all show on IE (8) looking at the civi-make-it happen blog. Can anyone see what it is that IE treats differently to FF on that page?

  • CMS version: Drupal 6 mostly, still evaluating 7.
  • MySQL version: Mix of 5.0 / 5.1 / 5.5

It might be that they all have the same id="civicontribute-widget".

FYI they all show up in Safari. Don't have access to a PC to test IE at the moment :-(

Changing the css id didn't work. I've realised IE actually positions all the widgets correctly but only on the last one did the flash load.

Add these params to all except the last one, which already has them.
A quick local test shows this fixes it.

<param name="movie" value="http://civicrm.org/sites/civicrm.org/modules/civicrm/extern/Widget/widget.swf" /> <param name="quality" value="high" /> <param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" />

Thanks - I can't quite think how those two came to be copied in differently - I did do the last one later than all the others but barring a change in civi it must have been some mistake on my part
