New Relationship list - limited to 4

When I go to add a New Relationship to a contact, the drop down list of relationship types seems to be limited to four (4). Is there any way to increase this?

I just went to the demo site and added a 5th relationship type for demo contact "Chris D Adams Jr". You can log on to the drupal demo site and then check that here http://3.ly/rel5.

Are you still having the problem? Is it happening with more than one contact? Do you have ACL or any other limitting features implemented? CiviCRM version? Drupal or Joomla version?

I checked the demo site too.

I have created some sub-types and I think the relationship type is being influenced by that. I am beginning to suspect I have created my own little problem.

CiviCRM seems to be restricting the relationship types to the appropriate sub-type. Sorry if that sounds confusing (so many 'types'!). But the programme seems to be quite sophisticated in how it is operating - so I'm going to go away and play some more.

When we define a relationship type in CiviCRM between A & B  we need to tell the system contact types/subtypes of A and B.
The drop down list list will show you all the relationship types whose "Contact Type A" is same as the type of the contact for which you adding the relationship (in your case subtype).
You can have a look at all the relationship types and their respective contact types for A & B here :

Thanks for your response. I suspected that I was causing my own problems and I think you have confirmed that  :). i will look again at how I have set up my relationship types and see if I can response this.
