I'm trying to set up CiviCRM/Drupal with two profiles, one for "Members" and another for "Sponsors".

I'd like to create a sign up page for both (members and sponsors). The pages will contain different sets of data. I know I can create the profiles under the administer tab, but I'd like the person signing up to also get a Drupal account automatically created.

What's the best way to achieve this setup?

For each profile - go to "Settings", open the Advanced Settings pane (bottom of form) and click the appropriate "Drupal user account registration option?". Click the help icon to the right of that field for details on how this works.

Thanks! I was missing the email address field. Once I added that it worked like a charm.

One more question regarding this: how can I allow users to modify their data after creating their account? More specifically, I would like a "member" to only see the member fields in their profile and a "sponsor" to see the sponsor fields.

If they are logged in, then maybe make a block that is based on a Drupal Role, use CiviGroup Roles synch, to make Group A get Role A and so see Block and and Group B get Role B and see Block B with the Blocks showing a link to the relevant Profile - maybe.
