Custom Event Fields

I need to make a few small changes but I cannot find the answer through searching so here it is:

1.  How do I make it so there is a First Name Last Name on the Extra Participants of an event.  I want to buy tickets for three people currently it only asks for an email for those extra people - I need the first / Last name of each participant.

2.   How do I just add the field Phone Number in the billing section of the event form?  I would like to be able to call people in case there is a problem, right now its just address and no phone number fields.  I have tried adding it to the contact but that is not working.

any help would be greatly appreciated as I am stuck and need to get this working :))

I would suggest you read the Book chapter on Profiles - since these are what you can use in an online Event Reg to capture Names and Ph numbers. HTH

thanks I will try the manual **again** to see if that helps - was hoping for a bit more than RTFM but thats ok - thanks for the response.

ok - that wasn't really meant to be a RTFM - I wasn't sure you were even aware of the role of Profiles in doing what you want.

So create a Profile, select the fields you want to show in the Profile.

Then in Online Reg in the Event Config, choose the Profile(s) you need.

That should be it. Hey presto.

Well I read the manual again and a light went on in my head and I figured it out.  Just took a while to put the pieces together and I was having a serious brain cramp when I posted.
