Unable to Establish New Memberships in 2011
September 21, 2010, 10:53:10 am
I have members who have by accident paid dues to cover both 2010 and 2011.

Management wants me to account the monies in 2010, and manually enter a separate 2011 membership.

When I attempt to set up such a membership, I receive the error message: "There is no valid Membership Status available for selected membership dates."

I have looked at the Membership Status Rules, which up until now have been left at default.

How can I overcome this condition?

Thanks!

-Joe

Same error message here. When I try to manually update a membership end date, I get:

Oops, it looks like there is no valid membership status available for the given membership dates. You can Configure Membership Status Rules. OR You can sign up by setting Status Override? to true.

Please correct the following errors in the form fields below:
There is no valid Membership Status available for selected membership dates.

Never had this problem before and I have not touched the civicrm backend in awhile. Any ideas?

Edit: If you leave the end date blank, it will choose the right one based on your membership status rules. For some reason, even if I do it correctly manually, I get the error, but if I let Civi choose the end date, it works out.

Thanks very much,
Phil
