I'm using version 2.2.8 and have the custom search "Date Added to CiviCrm". When I put in a given time period for date added, it not only brings up new contacts within the specified add dates, but also any contacts who have been modified within that time. So that includes any email change, address change, etc.

I have noticed that the first (or often only) date in the change log is a date within the specified time - even though I know in some instances the record was added before that date.

Any ideas?

2.2.x is a pretty old version (2+ years?) and not supported, so u might want to consider upgrading to 3.2.x

not heard of the below issue. the change log is done at a pretty low level, so should catch all (or at least most) occurences of contact create/edit
