hardware requirements

Hi Staff,
I took a look at the drupal demo site and I saw that it's very fast in loading pages and in navigating, I guess it is installed on a dedicated machine.
We put the civicrm installation in a normal hosting and, obviously, we don't have such performances.
What are the hardware/bandwidth requirements that you are using?
We are thinking about putting our civicrm on a dedicated machine and we would need such information.

Thx

Rob

the demo machine is a 4-5 year old server from dell. so its not really brand new :) it also runs all the other civicrm stuff (wiki, issue tracker, forum, website etc). so it has some work all the time :)

Maybe your demo' performances are cause by a good bandwidth or provider?

Thx
