I have a client with a specific problem that is also a general problem I've run into earlier.

The specific problem is that the client is searching for individuals living in an area defined by the first letter of the postal code. This is straightforward with the search builder, but it doesn't include individuals whose addresses are defined by the household they belong to [presumably, the sql is searching only their addresses].

To try and solve this - I can create a group of households whose address matches the first letter of the postal code, but how can I then use this to get all the individuals of those households?

When I use the advanced search, I can find everyone with a specific relationship to a specific contact, but what I want (and this is the more general requirement) is to be able to search for all individuals that have a relationship with any of the members of a group (in this case, all household members of the household group I have created above).

Any ideas?
